Piping Changes
(Refer to Figure 2)
The Flovert piping at the Three Tank CIP System must be connected the Batch System. The Swing Elbow on the Product Manifold must be disconnected from the water valve 2-FV-056 and connected to the 3-way valve 3-FV-120. The discharge pipes from the two Preblend Tanks must be disconnected from the Preblend Pump and connected to the CIP Pump 2-BPM-7. The Swing Elbow on the Stripping Table’s Pump 2-BPM-2 must be disconnected from the Stripping Table Tank and connected to the CIP water/solution pipe. The discharge piping from the Wilden Pumps must be connected to the CIP Return pipe. The suction hose to the Wilden Pumps must be connected to the CIP water/solution holder.
Switch Settings
The operator selects which system to clean at the pushbutton panel on the blend tank mezzanine: Preblend Tank #1, Preblend Tank #2, or the Drum loop. The CIP pump’s switch is located on the Taylor Recorder Panel in the Batch room. The complete cleaning system is controlled by the Batch room’s PLC. The operator then selects which CIP type to use at the Three-tank CIP control panel: Cold rinse,
3-Step hot rinse, 5-Step Acid, or 5-Step detergent. When the operator presses the start pushbutton on the three-tank CIP control panel, the CIP process will start. (See section “A” for a complete description of the CIP Process)
Preblend Tank #1 East
(Refer to Figure 2)
The Three-Tank CIP System controls the CIP Process for the rinse and wash cycles of this tank.
(See section “A” for a complete description of the CIP Process) If all of the Piping changes are made correctly, and Preblend Tank #1 is selected to be cleaned, the operator can start the CIP Process.
The CIP water/solution is pumped from the Three-Tank CIP System to the 3-way control valve
3-FV-120. Control valves 3-FV-120, 2-FV-062, and 2-FV-070 are all denergized, while 2-FV-066 is energized. Therefore the water/solution will flow thru 3-FV-120, the Product manifold, 2-FV-062,
2-FV-066, 2-FV-070 to the flow control valve 2-FV-067. The 3-way flow control valve 2-FV-067 is energized and denergized by a Continues repeating time cycle: It is energized for 30 seconds directing the water/solution flow thru the Spray Balls, then it is denergized for 5 seconds directing the flow directly into the Preblend tank.
When Preblend tank #1 is selected, the tank’s discharge valve 2-FV-073 will open. This will allow
the water/solution used to clean the tank to be pumped back to the Three- Tank CIP System, by the CIP Pump 2-BPM-7. Check valves in the CIP return piping prevent the water/solution from flowing into the wrong system.
Preblend Tank #2 West
(Refer to Figure 2)
The Three-Tank CIP System controls the CIP Process for the rinse and wash cycles of this tank.
(See section “A” for a complete description of the CIP Process) If all of the Piping changes are made correctly, and Preblend Tank #1 is selected to be cleaned, the operator can start the CIP Process.
The CIP water/solution is pumped from the Three-Tank CIP System to the 3-way control valve
3-FV-120. Control valves 3-FV-120 and 2-FV-062 are denergized, while control valve 2-FV-066 and
2-FV-070 is energized. Therefore the water/solution will flow thru 3-FV-120, the Product manifold,
2-FV-062, 2-FV-066, to control valve 2-FV-070. Control valve 2-FV-070 directs the flow to Preblend #2 tank’s valve 2-FV-069. The 3-way flow control valve 2-FV-069 is energized and denergized by a Continues repeating time cycle: It is energized for 30 seconds directing the water/solution flow thru the Spray Balls, then it is denergized for 5 seconds directing the flow directly into the Preblend tank.
When Preblend tank #2 is selected, the tank’s discharge valve 2-FV-076 will open. This will allow the water/solution used to clean the tank to be pumped back to the Three- Tank CIP System, by the CIP Pump 2-BPM-7. Check valves in the CIP return piping prevent the water/solution from flowing into the wrong system.

Juice Batch Room Drum/Preblend CIP
Drum Loop
(Refer to Figure 2)
The Three-Tank CIP System controls the CIP Process for the rinse and wash cycles of the Drum Loop. (See section “A” for a complete description of the CIP Process) If all of the Piping changes are made correctly, and Drum Loop is selected to be cleaned, the operator can start the CIP Process.
The CIP water/solution is pumped from the Three-Tank CIP System to the 3-way control valve
3-FV-120. Control valves 3-FV-120, and 2-FV-062 are energized and denergized by a Continues repeating time cycle.
The two control valves 3-FV-120 and 2-FV-062 are energized for 30 seconds directing the water/solution flow to the Puree Pump 2-BPM-2. When water/solution is being directed to the Puree Pump 2-BPM-2 the pump will run, pumping the water/solution thru the control valve 2-FV-062 to the denergized control valve 2-FV-066.
The valves are then denergized for 30 seconds, bypassing the Puree Pump, and directing the flow directly to the denergized 3-way control valve 2-FV-066.
The water/solution entering the control valve 2-FV-066 is directed to the CIP water/solution suction wand holder, thru the Wilden Pumps, to the CIP return pipe, back to the Three- Tank CIP System. Check valves in the CIP return piping prevent the water/solution from flowing into the wrong system.
H.T.S.T. Tank
(Refer to Figure 2)
The Three-Tank CIP System controls the CIP Process for the rinse and wash cycles of the H.T.S.T. Tank. (See section “A” for a complete description of the CIP Process)
In the Batch room, the Flovert piping changes must be made correctly, and the H.T.S.T. pipe must be disconnected from the Product Manifold and connect to the CIP return pipe.
At the Outside Truck Unloading Station, the truck’s flexible product pipe must be connected to the CIP supply pipe. Inside the piping must be connected so the Fill pipe and the Spray Balls receive the water/solution. The H.T.S.T. Supply Pump SAM-5 must be run (In Hand) so the water/solution can be returned to the Three- Tank CIP System. There are no automatic valves that control this process.
